RMF, or the Rocky Mountain Freeriders, is the original freeskiing, big mountain ski team in the Canadian Rockies. What is freeskiing? In a word, it’s fun, it’s free, it’s whatever you want it to be. You can’t go out freeskiing without having a ball, learning something new or improving your skiing. Freeskiing is making the most out of what you have and revelling in the experience!
This is what RMF is here for and has been here for since 1999. Your race time isn’t our goal, your spot on the podium isn’t why we’re doing it, and the Olympics aren’t the end game. But if you feel inspired to keep skiing, exploring and having fun in the mountains after a day at RMF, then we’re doing what we set out to do!
RMF does freeskiing; big mountain skiing, pow, park, speed and air, we are purveyors of fun, focusing on young athlete’s life long pursuit for joy and accomplishment in the mountains, we’re not selling success to the highest bidder or narrowing the focus. We’re expanding it! If you join the likes of Chris Rubens, Eric Hjorliefson, Garrett and Keegan Capel or Drew Wittstock as a sponsored athlete or you follow in the ski tracks of Kevin Hjertaas and Marty Schaffer into the realms of guiding and snow safety, or you join the countless athletes impressing folks with their skiing, their laughter and their passion for skiing at ski hills and in the backcountry it’s all skiing, it’s all fun and what you chase is up to you, RMF is here to help you get there!
